Thank you for visiting my blog. I hope you’ll bookmark “Simple Adventures…” and come back to read my words regularly. You see, for half of my life, my work has centered around words. My vocation began with the spoken word back in the late seventies, as a trainer. At first I delivered seminars and workshops for a living and eventually added facilitating and keynoting to my skill set.
From my programs and speeches came the written word; my first book was published in 1993 and I’m now up to seven. I consider myself a lifelong learner, which is probably why, in my presentations, I encourage people to stretch their comfort zones, broaden their horizons, and connect with their potential.
During a book signing, I was once asked, “You’re an author. Are you rich?” Without hesitation, these words rushed out of my mouth, “No, but I’m enriched!” My philosophy pretty much centers on life enrichment. It’s what I strive for every day: a simple life with plenty of learning, fun, and wonder, here in my little house in the woods, and beyond. When I’m not speaking or writing, I enjoy bird watching, reading, writing poetry, experimenting with fine food and wine, playing disc golf, and creating new designs for my inspirational jewelry business, PreciousPurpose.com.
